Acetone (Dimethyl Ketone, 2-Propanone) is a clear, colourless, highly volatile liquid with an aromatic, sweetish odour. It is completely miscible with water and is also miscible with most organic solvents.

It is an excellent solvent for use with gums, resins, waxes, fats, greases, oils, dyestuffs and cellulose-based products. It is also commonly used as an intermediate in chemical manufacture, as well as for cleaning, degreasing and general technical applications.

Supplied in a convenient 20 litre drum, it is ideal for industrial, laboratory and workshop use.
